The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead large-scale construction and fit-out phases at one of Europe’s most advanced “Green Data Port” hubs. This is a high-visibility role representing the interests of a global hyperscale owner and managing a multi-billion euro capital investment.
You will be responsible for bridging the gap between complex engineering requirements and on-site execution, ensuring that the facility meets world-class standards for power density, sustainability, and AI-readiness.
Key Responsibilities
- Full Lifecycle Management: Oversee project delivery from pre-construction/permitting through to MEP fit-out and final commissioning ($Cx$).
- Subcontractor Orchestration: Direct and manage Tier 1 and Tier 2 partners to ensure schedule adherence and quality.
- Technical Oversight: Lead “White Space” and “Grey Space” development, including the integration of high-voltage power systems, industrial cooling pipelines, and fiber landing stations.
- Budget & Risk: Manage multi-million euro monthly pay applications and change order negotiations using tools like Procore or BIM 360.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact for Groningen Seaports and local water boards regarding sustainable infrastructure.
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (or Construction Management).
- Experience: 5-8+ years in Mission-Critical environments (Data Centers, Pharmaceuticals, or High-Tech Manufacturing).
- Technical Savvy: Deep understanding of MEP systems (HV/LV, Chillers, UPS) and CSA (Civil, Structural, Architectural) packages.
- Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or IPMA certification is highly desirable.
- Languages: Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in Dutch is a significant advantage for managing local subcontractors.
