Currently working with a leading company in the Netherlands that is looking for a Senior Supplier Engineer to join their team on a 12-month contract.

Key Responsibilities
- Participate in the local cross-functional operational governance process to prioritize projects across quality, delivery, and cost, assign cross-functional resources for execution, and provide updates on assigned projects.
- Lead or contribute to technical projects utilizing Project Management and Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, ensuring end-to-end execution, including regulatory, clinical, and marketing requirements.
- Conduct complex quality and failure investigations involving raw material suppliers, identify root causes, implement corrective actions, and escalate issues when necessary.
- Assess raw material suppliers’ ability to meet demand forecasts, anticipate future constraints, and execute strategies to ensure continuity of supply.
- Apply expertise in injection molding, tool/part design, assembly processes, and Lean Six Sigma methodologies to identify and implement supply chain improvements.
- Participate in design changes for components and sub-assemblies, collaborating with R&D to introduce new products while ensuring a stable and capable process.
- Lead or support raw material projects across multiple manufacturing sites, working with global and cross-functional teams across different time zones and cultures.
- Manage budgets for assigned projects, from justification and approval to execution, asset delivery, validation, supplier payments, and cost-saving initiatives.
- Cultivate strong relationships with Procurement, Supplier Quality, Planning, Design, and other key functions to drive solutions, manage risks, and ensure successful project outcomes.
Candidate Overview
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Demonstrated statistical and project management skills.
- Expertise in plastic injection molding processes, materials, tool/part design, metrology equipment, inspection systems, and GD&T.
- Strong understanding of Six Sigma/Process Excellence/Lean methodologies.
- Ability to communicate effectively across multiple organizational levels, functions, and global cultures.
- Experience in a production environment within a regulated medical industry (GMP, compliance, processes) preferred.
- Proficiency in English and Dutch required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Minitab preferred.
