Our client operates three DevOps teams, each led by a Scrum Master, jointly responsible for the continued development and optimisation of the RijksZaak application. The CSSA will play a key role in designing, developing, and optimising complex PEGA solutions within an Agile delivery environment.
Key Responsibilities

Design and develop complex PEGA applications in collaboration with the Lead System Architect (LSA), ensuring alignment with both business and IT requirements.

Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable, and high-quality PEGA solutions.

Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team members.

Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues within the PEGA framework.

Ensure adherence to PEGA best practices, architecture standards, and governance frameworks.

Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including Product Owners, Business Analysts, and other technical teams.

Contribute actively within the Agile team by participating in: Sprint planning; Sprint reviews; Retrospectives.

Drive continuous improvement in development processes, quality, and delivery.

Support optimisation and digitalisation initiatives within the organisation.
Required Skills & Experience

Demonstrable HBO (higher professional education) level of thinking and working.

Certified Senior System Architect (CSSA) – PEGA certification is mandatory.

Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience with PEGA development.

Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Experience with case management systems such as PEGA and Alfresco.

Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Ability to operate effectively in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.

Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
Language Requirement (Critical)

Fluency (C1/C2 level) in Dutch (NL) is mandatory, both written and spoken, as Dutch is the primary working language within NCG.

English proficiency is required for technical documentation and collaboration where applicable.
Preferences (Nice-to-have)

Level of experience with Agile methodologies.

Experience with case management platforms such as PEGA and Alfresco.

Demonstrated competencies and skills (assessable via CV, motivation, and/or interview).

Affinity with or experience in public sector or government organisations.
