Director of Product Management – Decion Agentic Platform Reports to: Chief Product Officer Role Overview ToolsGroup is seeking a Director of Product Management – Decion Agentic Platform to lead the development of our next-generation, AI-native supply chain platform.

This is a mission-critical leadership role at the center of our transformation to an agentic, AI-first platform (Decion) —a platform that redefines how supply chains are planned, optimized, and operated through autonomous and semi-autonomous systems.

You will own the platform layer that powers Decion —including the agentic fabric, APIs, data and integration infrastructure, and core platform services—while enabling product and engineering teams across the company to build, extend, and scale on top of it.

This role requires a true product leader —someone who can: Set a clear platform vision Operate as a player-coach in a high-velocity environment Drive alignment and execution across a complex, engineering-led organization Lead through a combination of direct management, influence, and technical credibility What You’ll Own You will lead product strategy and execution for the Decion Platform , including: 1.

Platform Foundation Agentic architecture (LLM, memory, skills, tools) Platform APIs (agentic “brain” / orchestration layer) Data Hub and Integration Hub Telemetry, observability, and platform services (including billing/metering) 2.

Core Platform Enablement   Define product requirements for core planning engines to support: Agentic execution API-first extensibility Scenario modeling and simulation 3 .

Cross-Cutting Platform Capabilities Platform-level ownership of core agentic services, for example: Scenario Management and Visualization including Insights product.

Enable consistent, scalable capabilities across all product domains 4.

Platform as a Product (Internal + External) Treat internal engineering teams as customers Define how agentic skills and tools are built, reused, and extended Enable rapid development of agentic applications across the platform Establish a developer-friendly, composable platform ecosystem Leadership Expectations (Critical) This is not a traditional PM leadership role.

You are expected to operate as a player-coach and platform leader : Lead Through Vision Define and communicate a compelling platform strategy Establish Decion as a differentiated, extensible agentic platform Align product, engineering, and GTM around a shared architectural direction Lead Through Direct Ownership (Player-Coach) Operate comfortably at multiple altitudes: Strategic (platform vision, architecture direction) Tactical (PRDs, epics, API definitions, capability design) Actively contribute to: Problem framing Solution design Product specifications Use AI to accelerate your own output and the team’s productivity Lead Through Influence (Beyond Direct Team) Drive product direction across multiple engineering teams who do not report to you Build alignment across: Platform engineering Domain product teams (Demand, Inventory, etc.) Architecture and UX Ensure platform adoption through clarity, usability, and value—not authority Lead Through People Management Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing product team Develop talent capable of operating in an AI-first, high-velocity environment Set a high bar for product thinking, execution, and accountability Operating Model: AI-First Product Development (AI-PDLC) ToolsGroup operates an AI-first Product Development Lifecycle (AI-PDLC) .

You will be expected to: Leverage AI to accelerate: Discovery and research Rapid prototyping PRD and epic generation Engineering productivity Quality Assurance Documentation Lead teams using human + AI collaborative workflows Drive adoption of AI-native product practices across your organization Continuously evolve how product is built in an agentic environment Key Responsibilities Define and execute the Decion Platform product strategy Build and scale a platform-first product mindset across the organization Partner deeply with Engineering leadership to deliver a modern, API-first architecture Enable other product teams to innovate quickly via reusable platform capabilities Establish best practices for agentic system design and productization Drive cross-functional alignment across Product, Engineering, UX, and GTM Lead product execution through an AI-first, high-velocity development model Ensure platform capabilities translate into measurable business outcomes What You Bring Required Experience 10+ years in Product Management and/or Engineering leadership (if Engineering background, some Product management – whether formally or informally is expected), with significant experience in platform products Proven leadership experience as a Director or Group Manager Strong track record operating as a player-coach in high-growth or complex environments Experience leading across multiple engineering teams (direct and indirect) Deep experience with: API-first platforms Developer-facing products Distributed or composable architectures Experience working in or with AI/ML-powered products or platforms AI & Modern Product Development Experience working in AI-first or highly automated development environments Familiarity with: LLM-powered applications Agentic systems or orchestration frameworks Hands-on use of AI tools for: Prototyping Product documentation Workflow acceleration Leadership & Influence Proven ability to: Lead through influence across large organizations Align stakeholders across product and engineering Drive adoption of shared platform capabilities Strong executive communication skills Preferred Experience Background in supply chain, planning, or optimization software Experience building internal platforms or developer ecosystems Exposure to SaaS monetization models (usage-based, telemetry-driven) Experience scaling products through partner ecosystems Measures of Success Success in this role will be measured by: Platform Impact Adoption of platform capabilities across internal teams Reuse and extensibility of agentic skills and services Reduction in time-to-build for new capabilities Business Outcomes Contribution to improvements in: Win Rate Gross Revenue Retention (GRR) Net Revenue Retention (NRR) Platform-driven expansion (attach, cross-sell) Execution Excellence Product development velocity Quality and reliability (low defect escape, high predictability) Effective adoption of AI-PDLC practices Why This Role Matters This is a category-defining opportunity to: Build one of the first agentic platforms in supply chain planning Shape how AI-native enterprise software is developed and delivered Lead a transformation that directly impacts company growth, differentiation, and market position You will not just manage a roadmap—you will define the platform that enables the future of decision-centric supply chain planning .
