We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Tester to join our electrical engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical and functional tests on components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with company standards, customer specifications, and relevant industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform electrical, functional, and safety tests on equipment, assemblies, or systems in accordance with company procedures and quality standards.
- Record, interpret, and report test results accurately, highlighting non-conformities and supporting root cause analysis.
- Assist in the calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and facilities.
- Support engineers in product validation, prototype testing, and troubleshooting.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain clear and accurate documentation in line with ISO 9001 quality systems.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance test efficiency and product reliability.
- Liaise with design, production, and quality teams to resolve testing issues.
Essential Criteria
- A relevant qualification in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or significant practical experience).
- Proven experience in an electrical testing or technical support role.
- Competent in reading electrical schematics and technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of electrical testing principles and safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Good IT literacy (Microsoft Office, data entry systems, etc.).
Desirable Criteria
- Experience within a manufacturing or industrial electrical environment.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, IEC, or BS EN testing standards.
- Experience in high-voltage or control systems testing.
- Knowledge of PLCs or automated test systems.
