Requirements: This role follows a hybrid working model, requiring 2–3 days per week in the Cape Town office. 10+ years of relevant experience in embedded systems development Expert-level proficiency in C and C++ for embedded and safety-critical environments Proven experience leading firmware architecture and embedded system design Deep knowledge of real-time constraints, power management, and low-level hardware interactions Experience with functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 or IEC 61508 is advantageous Experience across the full embedded development lifecycle from requirements to hardware validation Experience working in an English speaking environment Nice to have: Familiarity with Linux-based embedded systems (e.g. Yocto, Buildroot) Experience with hardware design or PC
